The weekend’s action in La Liga saw former Super Eagles forward Kalu Uche find the back of the net for relegation-battling Levante. The Nigeria international struck in the 67th minute to complete a come-from-behind victory over Eibar to ease gently out of the relegation zone. The goal was his third since joining the club in January.

Ramon Azeez was an unused substitute yet again as Almeria fell 1-0 to Elche in a relegation six-pointer. Azeez has found playing time hard to come by this term, and watched again as his team-mates slumped to their 14th defeat of the season.
