Arsenal rising star, Folarin Balogun has made the decision to represent the United States of America at the senior level.
The forward will now switch international allegiance having represented England at youth level.
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano broke the news on social media on Tuesday.
“Breaking, huge news for the United States. Arsenal star Folarin Balogun has finally decided to represent USMNT — he will switch allegiance to the USA. 🚨🔴🇺🇸 #USMNT,” Romano wrote on his Twitter handle.
The 21-year-old was born in New York, USA to Nigerian parents.
His parents emigrated to England when he was two years old.
Balogun has 19 goals in 34 games on loan at Reims from Arsenal this season in Ligue 1.
