EDO State Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Dr Uyi Oduwa-Malaka has congratulated Mr Enotie Ogbebor, an iconic global creative artist for bringing honour to Edo State with his artistic splendours.

In a statement made available to Trojan News Media Correspondent, Dr Malaka assured Mr Ogbebor of the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism’s collaboration at all times.

“On behalf of the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism I write to celebrate one of our own Edo sons, who is taking the world by storm in the Arts and Tourism subsector, Enotie Ogbebor. Enotie, who is a poly-artist covering Art, Culture, Painting and History is one the most respected icon in the field today.

“A master of the Nigerian modernist Art tradition, Enotie has stamped his artistic foot print on the Universal stage with the unmistakable Edo Spirit. A plethora of his prolific works are in museums and Arts institutions all over the world. He was selected to show his works at the Oba of Benin, Royal Art Exhibition in 1997 to commemorate the Centennial of British invasion of the Benin Empire.

“He has only recently returned to Britain again, this time to singularly stage an African exhibition of marvels in Arts, painting and Culture, in the famous British museum. Some of his works at the exhibition actually caused a real splash among professionals and Tourists alike. And has dominated conversation in the Arts world since then.

“The Ministry is very proud of this major vendor of the Smithsonian institution in Washington DC. He has brought honour home to Edo State and kingdom, and remains a model in the industry and to the society in general”, the press statement reads.
