THE Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Region 21, Ibadan says it has concluded arrangements for its annual football tournament scheduled to commence on Monday at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.
Eight Provincial Teams would compete for honours in the football tournament, which was introduced in 2024.
Pastor Chris Onwunji, the Tournament Director who also doubles as RCCG Region 21 Sports Director made this known in a statement on Saturday in Ibadan.
He said that the tournament was organised to discover, nurture and support talented youths in the church.
He added that the football competition was powered by the Young Adults and Youth Affairs (YAYA) of the region to win souls for the kingdom of God through sports.
Onwunji disclosed that the eight provinces that have scaled through the registration process include Oyo Province 1, Province 12 , Province 13, Province 14, Province 17, Province 19, Province 10 and Province 24.
According to him, the eight teams have been divided into two groups of four teams.
“Each team will play three matches in the group stage, while the best two teams from each group will play in the semi – finals,” he said.
