Young Nigeria Rights Organization (YNRO) Petitions Delta Police Commissioner Over The Murder Of Chukwunalu Igwebeze

Petition: Attempted murder of 36 years old Mr. Chukwunalu Igwebeze (07060829774) by a Police Officer at Ogboli Village, Ibusa, Delta State.

On the 20th of January 2022 at about 10:00 PM Mr. Chukwunalu Igwebeze and his friend went to hang out at a beer palour went the owner of the beer palour was about closing his shop because it was time to close for the day, there was an arrival of a Police Patrol van, one of the officers wanted to buy action bitters drink but the owner of the shop told him that he has closed and he was busy picking empty bottles of drinks. He told the Police man that he is closing on time because it was still the Police officers that will enforce those who failed to close their shops on time.

The Police man got angry and brought out a dagger to stab the shop owner, the wife interfered and told the husband to stay away. The Police Officer then started insulting the shop owners wife that was when Mr. Mr. Chukwunalu Igwebeze) approach him, he told him to stop cursing someone’s wife that if it was his wife will he be happy? They  both started exchanging words that was when the Police Officer brought out a dagger to bisect Mr. Chukwunalu Igwebeze stomach.  Everybody ran away apart from the shop owner, he then screamed for help that people should come and help him that he does not want Mr. Chukwunalu Igwebeze to die here that it will not be fair, that was when some people used their shirts to wrap his Mr. Chukwunalu Igwebeze on his stomach because his intestines was already out of his stomach chamber. He was rushed to General Hospital Ibusa but was rejected due to the complications.

He was moved to Federal Medical Center Asaba with the Ambulance of General Hospital Ibusa, Delta State. The Police Community has abandoned Mr. Chukwunalu Igwebeze to his ill fate. It is expected that there should be a human face in an event like this. He is paying  N100,000 naira (One Hundred thousand naira) every two days since this ugly incident occurred. We call on the leadership of the Nigeria Police to do the right thing by not neglecting the family and the victim of this attempted murder.
